Unit prices

We update unit prices daily so you can keep up to date with how your pension is performing. You can change your investment option/s as your needs and investment profile changes.

Unit prices show the value of your investments, and MyLife MyPension calculates its unit prices daily.

Unit pricing is used to calculate investment returns for your pension account, a bit like share prices in a company. As a MyLife MyPension member, you’re assigned a certain number of units, based on your pension fund account balance. These units are then invested into your chosen investment option. Different investment options have different unit prices.

The value of your units can go up and down on any given day, the same as shares, depending on the performance of the investment option you have chosen.

When it comes to changing investment options, if we receive your request to change your investment options prior to 4pm AEST/AEDT on a business day, the change will be effective using the unit prices applied for that day. If the request is received after 4pm AEST/AEDT on a business day, the change will be effective the following business day. So, the value of your investment option (the unit price) may change between the time you switch online and when the switch takes effect.
